It's 1898. Escaping from their dying red planet, Martian forces unleash a sinister attack on Great Britain convinced that with the fall of the British Empire, both Earth and the blood of her inhabitants will be theirs for the taking. The game is a real-time strategy game based in Victorian England at the turn of the 19th Century. The atmospheric music by Jeff Wayne gives the whole experience an eerie feel that is matched by few other games. The game-play is unique allowing the human user to interact and control the game flow, speeding up or slowing down the flow of time meaning that you engage the enemy at any hour, day or night. It is a real-time strategy game up until the point of battle when it changes character to become a superb 'shoot-em up' battle environment, combining the two approaches to satisfy all types of gamers. |
