The original game from Rage Software was not the 'raging' success that it should have been, this was partly due to the impairments described below and partly due to the quirky interface that takes some getting used to. The fact that it was not as well marketed as some other games resulted in fewer gamers getting to grips with an otherwise good game. Nevertheless, there is a die-hard core of gamers that still play the game due to some unique real-time elements, the fascinating soundtrack and the overall spooky feel of the game.

What is the WOTW Companion ? Anyone who has played the original Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds PC Game will know it's limitations. This utility resolves a lot of those problems. The original game by Rage software was an outstanding piece of work but suffered from some features (bugs) that impaired the gameplay and the whole game experience. Those 'features' related to frequent crashes, inadequate game configuration controls and no scenarios to save or play. I have written a few utilities for my own use that helped me to resolve some of these problems. These utilities I have spruced up and readied for others to use in anger. They are now fully tested and ready for distribution. The companion can only be used with the original JW WOW game. It was written in Visualbasic 6.0 with some extra graphics created by Faintly Macabre I do not take credit for any of the original work done by Rage Software or Jeff Wayne. These are superb works of original thought and where possible I wish to give them full credit for the work they have done.

How do you buy the WOTW Companion? There are three paths to payment... 1. You can purchase WOTW companion from Ebay With Ebay you pay what you think is a realistic figure and bid accordingly. There will always be an auction with a 'buy it now' button. The current 'buy it now' price is £20.0 but you'll need to be quick as the bids come in fast and the 'buy it now' option disappears with the very first bid. 2. Alternatively you can send me a payment by paypal for £20.00 plus £1.50 p &p and I will send you the CD in the post. 3.
